Situated in Balscadden near Balbriggan in the beautiful and picturesque Fingal area of North County Dublin, McCormack’s is well worth a visit. This has to be one of the most photographed pub on the planet. With great music from local bands to The Hot House Flowers, McCormack’s is also a fantastic venue with a lovely atmosphere. As it says on the sign….in an idyllic country setting…!!

Mc Cormacks may well have agreat pint & so on but don’t try & book a party in the function room like we did. Fours days to the party they cancelled it on me saying it was double booked with a 21st which was a lie because I seen the book when he wrote me in it & it was free. They just thought they would make more money with the 21st than my husbands 40th. The problem was the owner couldn’t even bother his ars to ring me himself. If I didn’t go in on the tues to make sure everything was in order for the saturday I wouldnt of knownabout the mess. He said he was to embarrassed to tell me. VERY unprofessional. To make it up to me he said he would pay for the food in the new place I found which of course he didn’t. And I’ve heard that this has happened before. So be careful when booking a party in McCormacks Balscadden. Make sure you book a second place just incase you end up running around like I did 3 days to go.
i great atmosphere to be had at mc cormack’s, the owner mixes well with the customers and the craic is mighty. a qualty pint is always guaranteed. a good traditional irish pub!
McCormack’s is located in Balscadden, just outside Balbriggan. It is to the Northside, as Johnny Fox’s is to the Southside, and probably equidistant to town. This place is renowned for its Guinness, one could drink it like milk all day in this place. The most northerly pub in Dublin, the locals are proud of their roots as is evident by the Dublin jerseys and bunting throughout. The best damn counrty pub in Dublin by a mile.
